Hysteroscopy in the investigation in Abnormal Utrerine Bleeding

Abstract
|

|
A total of 89 women with abnormal uterine bleeding underwent both hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy.
The hysteroscope with endomentrial biopsy was more-accurate in 19 cases than endometrial biopsy and endometrial biopsy.. The specificity of hysteroscope with endometrial biopsy and endometrial biopsy alone was 100%. But the sensitivity of hysteroscopy with endometrial biopsy was greater(100 %) than that of endometrial biopsy alone(65 %) .
Those lesions missed by endomentrial biopsy alone were uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, atrophic endometrium and gestational remnants.
